ONE SHOT SHOW

Immersive performance

Co-prod with BBG creative bureau

One Shot Show is a boundary-breaking immersive theatre experience based on A. Ostrovsky’s Without a Dowry, where the audience’s decisions shape the story in real time. It reveals how little has changed in society’s treatment of women over nearly 150 years—reflected through the consequences of the choices we still make today.

CHICKADEE

One-woman show

Fey production in Association with Emerge Production House

A one-woman show 'Chickadee' is a truthful ride into the mind of a female street clown. In a world filled with tragedy and suffering, Chickadee's pure heart desires to bring joy and connection into people's lives. One day, she joins a TV Show at the Chickadee Studios and accidentally becomes famous and viral overnight as 'Chickadee the Sexy Clown'. She is heartbroken and misunderstood to be valued through her sexual appeal rather than her art of clowning.

The play consists of an insight of Chickadee's chaotic childhood that reveals why she chose to become a clown. At the same time we witness her facing acceptance in a pop-culture driven society, sexual abuse and toxic relationships. It is ultimately her unique approach to life and her attitude that fuel her passion for clowning.

'Chickadee' aims to give the message that despite the mess of life, life is beautiful and being a childlike clown could possibly save our hearts from shutting off.

It is a theatre piece that consists of elements of clowning and comedy, and dialogue, all used to create a raw performance.

★★★★

THE REVIEWS HUB

“The show draws you in and provides a message that builds on, and goes beyond, the Marilyn myth, asking wider questions about identity, the loss of the inner clown and the need to hang on to it in a world that expects people to conform to stereotypes and sees success more in terms of money than happiness.”

★★★★

THEATRE & TONIC

“Morçay’s performance is undoubtedly the best part of the show. Magnetising, vulnerable, and fully committed, she moves with ease between humour and heartbreak... She holds the performance on her shoulders and manages to create a deeply human character with whom it’s easy to identify.”

“Chickadee is full of sincerity… Chickadee offers a touching invitation to dare, if just for an hour, to be a fool.”

★★★★

THEATRELAND ADVENTURES

“Feride is magnetic — she brings a sense of innocence and sincerity to Dahlia that’s really endearing. The performance is full of heart, with the right balance of humour and vulnerability. I found myself being drawn in more and more as the story unfolded.”

“The lighting also really stood out to me — capturing the shifting moods and powerfully conveying the weight of Dahlia’s story.”

THE HAYFEVER LIVE SHOW

theatre performance

Emerge Production House, Edfringe Grant Recipient delivered by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

A dark comedy that explores how living by different cultural rules can eventually  alienate you from a country or planet which you thought you were part of. Are love and care always enough when someone has to overcome traumas from the past?

In this live TV Show presented by Kyle Sanders, the AUDIENCE MEMBERS will decide the actors destiny, they can also zoom into any character's inner feelings requiring a monologue, a song, a "Feelicalise" at any time of the show. Maybe even go home with an auctioned part of the set.

*Every piece of set and costume will be put in auction during the whole run of the show, at the end of the run, audience members will be able to take ownership of what they bought. In this way, we aim for our production to be at a O% wastage rate. As the lead character is a painter, lots of paintings will be exhibited as part of the set that audience members will also be able to buy.

We are proud of this play’s novelties in content and delivery. It addresses the long under-represented theme of cultural diversity in hybrid communities of native and expat population. We want to tell stories that represent voices of big cities that we don’t yet hear in theatre and explore how their heritage contributes to the cities’ soul. We introduce a radical storytelling format that enables viewers to intervene not just contextually but also commercially in the plot, thereby highlighting ways in which modern voices are filtered within highly interactive and commercially charged environments.

BUSH THEATRE 50th ANIVERSARY

Event

as a freelance producer

Bush Theatre Retrospectives : As part of our 50th birthday year, Bush Retrospectives are a series of five rehearsed readings celebrating and reflecting on plays that premiered at the Bush Theatre over the past 50 years. They will be followed by a Q&A.

Beautiful Thing later transferred to the West End, was made into a feature film, and discovering its extraordinary writing and message of hope has been a rite of passage for many in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. The show will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2023.

THE FOSSE FOREST BALLET

theatrical mocumentary

Created by David Muscat

A behind-the-scenes look at the latest West End musical to hit the theatres. From auditions to opening night.

This is a show, about a show, that does not exist.

PILOT EPISODE CAST:

Darren Day (Hollyoaks, Celebrity Big Brother, Joseph & the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat)

Kerry Ellis (We Will Rock You, Cats, Les Misérables, Wicked)

Louise Dearman (Grease, Evita, Guys & Dolls, Wicked)

Oliver Savile (Phantom of the Opera, Cats, The Last Ship, Les Misérables)

Zoe Birkett (Pop Idol, Priscilla, Grease, Big Brother)

Philip Joel, Amy Bailey, Nuwan Hugh-Perera, David Muscat, Tosh Wanogho-Maud.

Ever wondered what it takes to put on a major West End musical?

What about the actors who make the sacrifice, suffering rejection after rejection as they pursue their dream?

The Fosse Forest Ballet is a fly-on-the-wall, narrative driven series that tells the story of three hopeful actors as they audition for the latest hit West End musical, The Fosse Forest Ballet. With comical, 'larger than life' characters ranging from the commission focused Agent, the frantically under prepared Choreographer, the wishy-washy Director, the flashy new-comer Producer and more.

Series one, tells the story from the first round of auditions to putting together the final pieces of the casting puzzle. Whilst we follow the three hopefuls we also see the creative team trying to bag themselves a West End legend. Will the hopefuls fulfill their dreams?...

This concept was inspired by the success of Philip Joel’s social media sketch videos during London's Lockdown.

A relative unknown at the time, with only a handful of followers, his social media videos alone have received over a million views. The level of engagement from their audience has been a driving indication of the feasible success of this concept.

We filmed a concept episode in between Lockdown One & Two and then launched it online towards the end of 2020 for the price of a coffee, £3.49. Site: www.thefosseforestballet.com

The response has been phenomenal and overall it's provided us with an insight into the potential audience. With a 'zero budget' marketing spend, we have managed to raise thousands and the episode has been extremely well received.

REVIEW SNAPSHOT:

Joel shows off a natural flair for comedy: THE FOSSE FOREST BALLET (Online review) ★★★★

Clever satire and witty one-liners ... with more magic created when West End stars pop up among the cast.

Writer David Muscat has brought the same fast-paced comedic tone to the forty-minute piece, which we can definitely hope gets picked up somewhere for a series!

The Forest Fosse Ballet shows great potential to be developed further into a full series, with a great sense of comedy and many funny relatable characters.

The writing is witty y’all and the actors crushed the comedic timing.
